What is it:
Phonak rechargeable hearing aids are fully featured hearing aids with built in Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable hearing aids offer 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Why use them:
There are many reasons why clients may benefit from using rechargable hearing aid batteries:
The convenience of having hassle-free hearing without having to change batteries or carry extra batteries with them.
They are great for people who have limited mobility in their fingers which makes it difficult to change batteries.
Some people may be unable to communicate to a care giver that their hearing aid battery needs to be changed.
Lithium-ion batteries have the additional benefit of reduced deterioration and degradation of the battery over time without affecting hearing aid performance. Furthermore, removing the battery door has improved the durability of the hearing aid.
How to use them:
Remove the hearing aids from the Phonak charger and press the push button for 3 seconds until the indicator light briefly flashes green. The hearing aids are now switched on and ready for use. At the end of the day, simply place the hearing aids into the charger. They will click into the slots and automatically switch off. The green indicator light flashes slowly to indicate charging. Once the light stops flashing and remains solid, the hearing aids are fully charged and ready to for use. Charging time for a completely depleted hearing aid is 3 hours.
